Our range of jersey fabrics

In the KicKenStoffen collection you will find many different types of jersey fabric. We have listed our jersey fabrics and their most important properties for you.

Cotton and bamboo jersey

Our cotton and bamboo jersey fabrics are wonderfully soft and elastic. The fabric (also called jersey) is sturdy and flexible at the same time. High-quality soils are used for these jersey fabrics, so the colors do not discolour or fade and the fabric does not become loose. Cotton jersey and bamboo jersey are ideal for sewing baby and children's clothing, baby accessories or something nice for yourself.

The weight of jersey cotton varies between 200gr/m2 and 220gr/m2. The plain 'heavy jersey' is no less than 250gr/m2, while the weight of bamboo jersey is 240gr/m2. The shrinkage of these natural jerseys is approximately 5%.

Fine rib knit soft

The fine rib knit soft is very soft and supple. This tricot fabric is made of Compact Yarn and is therefore very strong, high-quality and stretchy. Fine rib knit soft is available in various trendy colors and prints. At KicKenStoffen you can choose from 3 types of this ribbed fabric, namely the plain, digitally printed and striped variant.
The fabric is ideal for making clothing, such as a cardigan or pants, but also nice for a shawl, romper or children's underwear. Even though the rib runs lengthwise, the fabric can be used both lengthwise and widthwise. This fabric is also often used as cuff fabric instead of our standard cuff fabric.

Fine rib knit soft (230gr/m2) has a shrinkage (in width and length) of about 5-7%.

Pointelle jersey

Compact Yarn, also known as compt yarn (yarn twisted into a very small rotating triangle), has been used, which gives yarns better strength, better stretch and better quality. Compact yarn (strongly plied), pills less than loose yarn (with little twist).
Wide rib tricot soft can be used in both length and width and is ideal for sewing various garments.
