Make your blanket, basket or sleeping bag from a soft and possibly furry fabric for an extra cuddly effect.
The wellness fleece is extra soft and available in different qualities, both plain and printed. This fabric does not fray, so you could even cut the blanket and use it without hemming.
For the bottom of a basket or blanket you can use a cotton or, for example, the waterproof PUL fabric (handy if you take it with you on the road or for outdoor use). Very nice to combine with, for example, is the minky polka dot fleece.
On warm days it is nice for your animal to lie on a (thick) blanket, pillow or in a basket, but make this from a natural fabric so that they do not get too hot. A good fabric is, for example, the cotton teddy or bamboo cotton fleece, which are also nice and soft and warm in winter.

Tip: Always wash the fabrics cold before sewing, of course sorted by color, especially if you are going to work different fabrics against each other. Use liquid detergent to keep the fabrics nicer and softer.
