For more than 30 years, my parents, Ans and Kick van der Heijden, have been working at the market with great pleasure and in all kinds of weather. First with fashion fabrics, later mostly cotton, children's fabrics, cradles fabrics and animal prints.
In 2013, after years of not working 'at the market', I start helping at the moment my father became ill. I got so much pleasure that we decided that I would take over 'the market'. That sense of fun selling, advising and contact with people suits me well.

Since the death of my father in the summer of 2014, my mother and I still go to the Lapjesmarket in Utrecht. Very joyfull and nice to work with my mother. Since Covid was there, we are not selling at the market. Now we only sell online. 

We sel to individuals, but we also have a lot of 'business to business customers' all of them are creative companies.

We have updated and expanded our collection as with, for example, the organic cotton, cotton tricot and hydrophilic fabrics, but many fabrics in our collection have also been popular for years. Think of our cotton (with Oekotex quality mark!), Embroidery, flannel / molton, cotton teddy, terry cloth, waffle cotton and the complete collection of cradle fabrics.
